Lauren Holliday is 2U’s executive vice president, head of marketplace product, where she oversees the performance, development, and growth of the company’s free-to-degree online learning marketplace. Previously responsible for a team that grew the edX business 10x through an investment in customer orientation, experimentation, and collaboration, Lauren will bring her expertise in product to unite learners, companies, and universities on a single platform.
Over the course of her career, Holliday has rallied teams to solve critical customer challenges in innovative ways. At edX, she launched MicroMasters in 2016 and Professional Certificates in 2017. While at Amazon, she launched the Elastic File System, an AWS product. At LinkedIn, she was involved with the acquisition of Lynda.com (now LinkedIn Learning).
Holliday graduated with honors from Harvard Business School and earned a Bachelor’s from Northwestern University. When she’s not on Zoom, Holliday can be found with her husband chasing their children, who in turn are chasing seagulls, down the beaches of New England.
