Harsha Mokkarala is 2U’s chief revenue officer, leveraging his previous experience as chief marketing officer and, more recently, chief data scientist to drive strategic alignment in revenue generation and enact data-informed decisions to advance the agility and growth of edX.
Mokkarala started with 2U in 2013 as the executive vice president of marketing strategy and then was named chief marketing officer, where he used a combination of analytical and technical expertise to inspire company innovation. In 2020, Mokkarala became chief data scientist to strategically enhance the way the company collects, analyzes, and uses data to make informed business decisions.
Before joining 2U, Mokkarala had a successful career at Capital One where he held senior roles in digital marketing and managed all facets of online marketing for the company’s credit card acquisitions group.
Mokkarala earned a Masters in Computer Engineering from the University of Wisconsin at Madison. He lives in Bethesda, MD, with his wife and two children.
